Talk is spreading that Jose Maria Sison, the founder of the Communist Party of the Philippines, is somewhere in Iloilo.
A
military intelligence officer is supposed to be the source of the
story, though he can't confirm nor deny whether there is an official
report anywhere about Sison being here. The only he does confirm is that
they have intelligence reports saying some bigshots - including
government people - are assisting the communist party leader.
Last
month, it was reported that three close allies of President Noynoy
Aquino were in talks with Sison, and asking him to return and speak with
the president. A few months ago, Aquino went on a hurried trip to
Tokyo, and met with the chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front at
a hotel near Narita Airport.
The CPP is not saying anything about the report.
