Former Malabon City vice mayor dead in accident

Former Vice Mayor Arnold Vicencio of Malabon City died yesterday in a motorcycle accident along the South Luzon Expressway. He was 40 years old.

Vicencio, son of former mayor Amado Vicencio, was said to be driving the bike with a certain Ronald Estuaria as passenger, when he lost control of the vehicle. Reports from SLEX traffic personnel say he was thrown several meters away from the bike and suffered massive injuries.

His body will be open for public viewing later in the afternoon.

Vicencio ran but lost in the congressional elections in 2010. Prior to serving as vice mayor, he was city councilor during his father's term.
