Revenue District Officer Marcelino “Lino” Yap was assassinated this morning near his office at Barangay Masinag, Antipolo City. Yap headed Revenue District No. 45 that covers the SMART area – San Mateo, Marikina, Antipolo City and Teresa in Rizal Province. DZRH Operation Tulong reports that two men riding on a motorbike attacked the victim near the Masinag Public Market before 9:00 this morning.
Yap was RDO of RD 106 in Tandag, Surigao del Sur, and served as RDO in other Mindanao offices before moving to Luzon.
