September 30, 2012, North Triangle, EDSA (near Landmark)
10:00am | Program, production work, setting-up of barricade along EDSA
7:00pm | Cultural night along EDSA, overnight vigil
Last week, 101 families* living along EDSA in North Triangle received notices of eviction from the Office of Taddy Palma, QC Mayor Herbert Bautista's secretary. They are given until tomorrow to dismantle their own homes, and to relocate their families to Kasiglahan Village in Rodriguez (Montalban), Rizal.
Residents said the demolition is illegal after the local government of Rodriguez has issued last September 17 an order prohibiting the relocation of more informal settlers from Quezon City and the City of Manila to the flood-prone relocation sites in Kasiglahan Village.

Residents are willing to do whatever it takes to defend their homes against impending demolition on Monday. They will set up their barricade tomorrow morning, and hold an overnight vigil to prepare for possible demolition.
