Another Filipina domestic worker is dead in Jordan.
The parents of Eulalia Lawra, 34 years old (shown left in the photo), came to DZRH today to report the series of calls they had with the victim starting in the middle of November, and the last on the morning of December 2, hours before the Philippine Embassy in Amman called them to say Eulalia is dead!
Father Bienvenido Lawra says the last time they talked, Eulalia was sounding weak and was saying "Tulungan n'yo ako..." (Help me), before her employer was heard on the phone asking them if they got a package from Eulalia in November. When they said no, the phone went dead. In the afternoon of that day, the Philippine Embassy in Jordan, called them to extend condolences, because Eulalia had died.
The parents have been advised to proceed to the DFA today for documentation purposes. DZRH will have an interview with them tonight after 6:30 PM.
