FLORANTE//OCT5. KAMPANTE ang palasyo ng malacanang na maaayos na ang sigalot sa cybercrime prevention law. Ito'y matapos itakda ng palasyo ang isang pulong ng DOJ, DOST at DILG sa october 9 para talakayin ang mga tinututulang probisyon sa naturang batas.
Hinikayat ng Palasyo mga netezins at taumbayan na makiisa sa pag-uusap na pangungunahan ni Justice Secretary Liela de Lima.
Ayon kay presidential spokesman edwin lacierda, bahala na ang DOJ na magtakda ng lugar kung saan gagawin ang dayalogo sa anti-cyber crime law.
Nauna rito, aminado ang palasyo na hindi perpekto ang batas kaya bukas sila na amyendahan ito ng dalawang kapulungan ng kongreso.
Muling ipinagtanggol ni Lacierda ang batas na nilagdaan ng Pangulong Aquino na umanoy panglaban sa mga cyber criminals na ginagawang pugad ng kanilang operasyon ang Pilipinas dahil sa kakulangan ng anti-cyber crime law.
Maaari umanong pag-usapan ang probisyon sa on-line libel na may katapat na parusang 12 taong pagkakulong na mas mataas pa sa parusa revised penal code.
'There is a contentious provision on libel but we believe that our President is secure in ensuring that your liberties will not be curtailed. And, also, we also believe that since there has already been a clamor and you have seen that our position from the very start is: (if) you want to refine the law, you want to amend the law, well and good. These are provisions which you find objectionable primarily on the penalty on libel, on the takedown clause, then amend it," paliwanag pa ni Lacierda.#30#
